NEWCOMERS:
If this is your first war, here’s a brief summary of how it
works: From 3PM EDT onward you will be
able to click the globe on the left side of your screen and that will bring you
to a war panel. From there you can
declare war (others will have likely already done this) or move to the battle tab
to see the ongoing war. When a war is first declared all the opponents
are protected by their strongest member, otherwise known as the defense leader
(DL). The DL must be taken down before
any other opposing members can be attacked.
The DL can be defeated outright if you attack and have better stats than
him, or you can hit him the equivalent of 10 times and he will be
defeated. You can either normal attack
or powers attack the DL. A power attack
uses your full energy (equivalent to 4 normal attacks), but gives you 150% of
your attack statistics. In addition, if
you lose, you will take off the equivalent of 5 hits, rather than 4 if you had
just normal attacked with your full energy.
In addition to the DL, most opponents have a wall. The wall makes it so we only score ½ as many
points as we could if the wall was destroyed.
In most cases, it’s in the best interest of the faction if the lower
level players attack and destroy the wall before we attack opposing members
(see rules of engagement below). Once
the DL and wall are down, attack at will but keep an eye on the forum. People will scout and post info on the stats
of the opposing faction members making it easier for you to choose a
target. Keep in mind only ally numbers
are listed for the opponents and not their strength, so scouting is essential
for our less strong members.
Updated Rules of Engagement (ROE 9/20/13)
Since strategy has changed with the advent of faction LTQs
during the World Domination events, we have updated our rules of engagement:
CRITICAL POINTS:
1)
Wars will be declared hourly. If fagboi (FB) is around, someone should
scout and report the strength of the DL.
If possible, FB will take out the DL.
2)
If FB is not present, war is declared, and the
DL is still standing you should power attack him.
3)
If the wall is standing, attack it.
4)
When you scout an opponent, post it to the
forum.
ADVISE:
1)
Vault your cash. Anything left out will
make you vulnerable to being attacked.
2)
Attacking members with half as many allies as
you is often a safe bet to win your battle. The higher level your
opponent, compared to your current level, the more points you will
receive. However, if you lose your battle, you receive no points.
Don't lose!
3)
Defeating opponents that are a higher level than
you earns you many more points! Pay
attention to the forum scouting and attack opponents that you can beat that are
also high level!
4)
If your attack stats are below 5000, the most
likely way for you to accrue points will be to attack the wall and/or command
center. You may also consider power attacking rival members with a low #
allies, as this will yield many points should you defeat the stronger opponent. If a low level opponent is scouted and you
can beat him, however, you should do that!
5)
Use the stats of the rival defense leader as a
guide to what other rival faction members have for their defense stats.
If the defense leader has a defense of 90K, it is likely that no other members
in the faction have defense stats stronger than that.
