Canda Debrief

Drughies,

Lots of info below.  I made a quick contents here to help you navigate more easily, but before that: CONGRATULATIONS!  We've broken into the top 1500.  It's been awhile in the making, but we have finally hit cadence and achieved a milestone goal.  We coordinated well, and are hoping to use this war as a boon for India.  With a bit more honing, top 1000 is within our grasp.

GroupMe

Some of us have been communicating through this private group chat application during the wars.  It makes it easy to coordinate attacks, disseminate beta, and is generally a pretty good time.  If you are interested in joining Fagboi, General Fabs, Private Parts, the Tony's, MiniMuffin, and Ballzdeepe in some real time conversation, this is the way to do it.  Follow this link: https://groupme.com/join_group/4906481/CTDssZ?source=Copy.

Summary of the Battle for Canada

We employed a new strategy this war and it has really paid off.  We recruited some low-level player (LLP) accounts to scout and do wall hits for us.  Destroying the walls allowed just about everyone to score more points this war, allowing us to reach a phenomenal personal best score of 287846.  This was approximately 100,000 points HIGHER than we scored during the battle for Australia.  In addition, having Fagboi use a normal attack on the opposing DL led to defeat of the opposing leader all but a handful of times.  This is a great way to conserve energy, but may not be as effective as we move forward against harder opponents.  Regardless, destroying the walls was a critical step to improving our overall score.  We were approximately 100,000 points away from the top 1000, so we will be looking for ways to pick up those points before India (more in section 3).

Now for the stats:

Below you will find a snapshot of the faction from the beginning of the war (I apologize that it doesn't fit neatly on the blog page).  Cells marked in green indicate the strongest member in each category, whereas the red indicated the weakest.  There's a lot of info here, but here are some of the highlights.  Change in Attack/Defense: What it indicates: member activity.  If this number is 0, as was the case for turbman, it indicates no activity on that account between the battle for Australia and the Battle for Canada.  Increase in Attack/Defense: What it indicates: How fucking gun-ho a player is.  Anyone that more than doubled their stats are marked in green.  Nice fucking work. Number of Allies/Units/Maximized: What it indicates: whether you are bringing a full army into battle. Each ally allows you to bring four units into battle.  If you are highlighted in red it means that you have more allies than units to bring into battle.  This is foolish!  Buy more units or decrease your ally count so that you maximize the number of units you are bringing into battle.  Reference earlier blogposts for a more comprehensive explanation of why this is important.

Next is a breakdown of member contributions to the war effort.  These categories are largely self explanatory.  Categories marked with an NA indicate a new member that has no data for the battle for Australia.  Points/Won Battles: What it indicates: Potentially, which members are attacking the walls even if they are too weak to attack opponents.  In general, if you are averaging more than 200 points per winning battle, this indicates that you are hitting the wall in addition to opponents.  ***THIS DOES NOT ACCOUNT FOR SCOUTING.  Difference: What it indicates: Which members scored more or less than last war.  Members who scored more points than Australia are in green, those that scored less are in red.

Finally, a breakdown of how many points the faction would have scored if each member were absent.  Members listed in yellow and below account for less than 10% of our total points.  Members listed in Orange and below account for less than 5% of our total points.  Members listed in Red account for less than 1% of our total points.  An asterisk is placed next to members in the bottom 10% that clearly were scouting/attacking the walls based on the above data.

Strategic Outlook for India

We're going to continue with our LLP and wall destruction strategy, but the faction will need help.  We are going to expand our faction size to accommodate more active members, and relieve those who are not.  We aim to be in the top 1000 for India, and expect that we can achieve this goal if we can put together another handful of excited members.  Why does it matter?!?  Unit prizes for the top 1000 come with a boost!!! For India it is 1% more from air attack!  Let's get dealin'
