Critical Notes
1) If you declare, you must POWER ATTACK the Defense Leader. Even if you lose, a power attack takes off half the defense leader's power (5 units) regardless of your strength, whereas a normal attack will only take off 1 unit (x4 attacks). You take off more health with a power attack, and it gives you a 150% boost to your attack stats.
2) POWER ATTACK the Defense Leader, if he has not been taken out. He's the only rival able to be attacked immediately after declaring war, and no other rival faction members can be attacked until he is taken down.
3) If the rival faction has a level 3 wall or below, ATTACK IT. Points are doubled after the wall is brought down.
4) When you scout a rival member, let the faction know their def. stats through the forum. It will let others know who they can attack and defeat. Include the level of the opponent. Defeating higher level opponents results in more WD points.
Important points
1) Vault your cash. Anything left out will make you vulnerable to being attacked.
2) Attacking members with half as many allies as you is often a safe bet to win your battle. The higher level your opponent, compared to your current level, the more points you will receive. However, if you lose your battle, you receive no points. Don't lose!
3) If your attack stats are below 5000, the most likely way for you to accrue points will be to attack the wall and/or command center. You may also consider power attacking rival members with a low # allies, as this will yield many points should you defeat the stronger opponent.
Considerations
1) Use the stats of the rival defense leader as a guide to what other rival faction members have for their defense stats. If the defense leader has a defense of 90K, it is likely that no other members in the faction have defense stats stronger than that.
Howdy! I'm hoping that ROE, Critical Notes #4 can be changed to an emphasized "ALWAYS post an opponents name, level and attack power whether you win or loose a battle." That info is critical to helping other members of our faction choose an opponent with a higher level and lower attack power. This helps everyone in the faction to collect a lot more points during the battle.
ReplyDeleteI'm also willing to bet that a majority of our faction members don't know this page exists or have never seen it. It might be a good idea to post the URL to this blog (especially the ROE page) for a couple days preceding a battle weekend. You could also put the URL the factions "Information" tab if there is space.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I meant to say "It might be a good idea to post the URL for this blog (especially the ROE page) to the in game faction chat for a couple days preceding the battle weekend."
DeleteI'll add an emphasis that the lower stat players should power attack the DL, then attack the wall. When they do this, they should post it on the message board so that we know you are participating.
ReplyDeleteObviously losing to the rival DL and doing wall hits doesn't give you many points, so it will look like you didn't participate much in the WD main page. However, if you've posted that you attacked the DL and/or the wall, then it's all good and we'll be aware of your value in the battle.
